Legend's Legacy was founded from our family's experience with infertility, pregnancy loss, premature birth, and the NICU. What began as a deeply personal journey has grown into a nonprofit dedicated to ensuring families have access to trusted resources, compassionate support, and a community that reminds them they are never alone.
WHY WE EXIST
Every NICU journey is different, but no family should have to navigate it alone. We know firsthand how overwhelming the experience can be—emotionally, physically, and financially. Legend's Legacy exists to bridge gaps in support by connecting families with trusted resources, fostering meaningful partnerships, and advocating for compassionate, culturally responsive care. Based in Greater New Orleans, Legend's Legacy proudly serves families across Louisiana while building partnerships that strengthen support for NICU communities.

Brandi Johnson, MSW,LMW
Founder & Executive Director
Brandi Johnson, MSW, LMSW, is a social worker, advocate, and educator whose personal journey through infertility, pregnancy loss, premature birth, and the NICU inspired the creation of Legend's Legacy. She is dedicated to ensuring families have access to compassionate support, trusted resources, and equitable care throughout their NICU journey.
Wayne Johnson
Co-Founder & Director of Strategic Development
Wayne Johnson brings experience in business management, grants management, and strategic planning, along with the lived experience of navigating infertility, pregnancy loss, and the NICU as a father. He is committed to building partnerships and strengthening the organization's impact so more families receive the support they deserve.
