Support that goes
beyond the NICU.
Three connected areas. One shared purpose.
Legend’s Legacy supports families throughout the NICU journey and beyond through accessible education and resources, parent-centered support, advocacy, and meaningful community partnerships. Our work is rooted in lived experience and designed to help families feel informed, connected, and empowered as they navigate what comes next.

01
RESOURCE GUIDE & EDUCATION
Helping families find answers when they may not even know what questions to ask.
Navigating the NICU can mean learning a new language while also trying to make decisions, understand medical information, manage everyday responsibilities, and prepare for life after discharge. Finding reliable support shouldn't add another layer of stress.
Legend’s Legacy develops accessible, family-centered resources that help parents and caregivers better understand the NICU journey and connect with services available to them. Our growing NICU Resource Guide brings together information about hospital and community resources, financial and medical assistance, emotional support, developmental services, essential needs, and more.
Our educational work extends beyond a single guide. As Legend’s Legacy grows, we are developing tools and educational resources shaped by the questions families actually have—from the NICU bedside through the transition home.
02
ADVOCACY & COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS
Stronger support for families requires stronger connections across communities.
Families should not have to navigate disconnected systems on their own. Legend’s Legacy works alongside healthcare providers, nonprofit organizations, community leaders, and family advocates to strengthen the network of support surrounding NICU families.
Through collaboration, education, and advocacy, we work to elevate family experiences, identify gaps in support, and encourage care that recognizes the cultural, emotional, and practical realities families bring with them into the NICU and beyond.
Our work places particular attention on disparities affecting Black and Brown families while remaining inclusive of every family who needs support. By bringing lived experience into conversations about programs, services, and systems of care, we help ensure families are not simply being served—they are being heard.

03
PARENT SUPPORT & CONNECTION
Because sometimes families need more than information. They need someone who understands.
The NICU journey doesn't end at discharge. Bringing a baby home can bring relief and joy alongside new questions, appointments, developmental concerns, uncertainty, and the challenge of adjusting to a new normal.
Legend’s Legacy creates opportunities for parents and caregivers to feel seen, supported, and connected throughout that transition. Our family-support work is being developed around what families tell us they actually need—not assumptions about what support should look like.
This includes our developing NICU to Home support initiative, designed to help families bridge the transition from hospital to home through resource navigation, connection to community and developmental supports, and practical guidance for the journey ahead.
As we grow, this area will also provide the home for additional family-centered initiatives focused on connection, practical support, and shared experience.
FROM THE NICU BEDSIDE TO HOME
A family's needs change throughout the NICU journey. The information they need during an unexpected admission may be different from what they need while preparing for discharge—or six months after coming home.
That's why our work connects information, advocacy, and human connection rather than treating them as separate needs.
